Deerfield Village Trustee Elections 2024 are Tuesday, April 9th thru Friday, April 12th, between 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM (regular office hours), Thursday evening, April 11th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, & Saturday, April 13th, between 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. There are 3 open positions to fill.
Position of Trustee – Only one resident in the same family may concurrently serve on the Board. The position of Trustee is for a period of three (3) years. Trustees are responsible for the direction and management of the affairs and assets of the Association. In addition to attending monthly Board Meetings, each Trustee attends meetings of at least one Standing Committee as a non-voting representative to provide counsel regarding the Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, as well as other matters. Therefore, Trustees need to be familiar with these documents and a complete set will be given to those submitting applications.
NOTE: The deadline to turn in your Trustee Application is March 8th, end of day. Applications will be posted here on March 19th and in the April Newsletter.

DVCA 2024 Election Process:
• Votes can only be cast in person, in the Deerfield Village office by either the homeowner or their proxy.
• Votes can only be cast from 9:30 AM through 1:30 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 through Friday, April 12, 2024, Thursday, April 11, 2024 6:00 PM through 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
• Bring a valid photo ID for verification of voting eligibility. (Applies to both homeowner or proxy.)
• Only one ballot per lot owned.
• Write-in candidates are permitted.
• Vote by Proxy is permitted. A Proxy must be in writing, specific to a lot, valid for the term of the 2024 DVCA Trustee election, notarized, and submitted at the time of verification of voting eligibility. The DVCA Office Manager will maintain a file of Proxy designations. A sample proxy form is included below. Please use it for your proxies. Please note that the proxy is required to be notarized or it will not be valid. If voting by proxy, it is highly suggested that the form be completed prior to the election due to the requirement that it be notarized.
• Ballots received by mail, email, fax or dropped into the lockbox (outside of the DVCA office) will NOT be counted.
The Voting Process:
1. Appear in the Deerfield Village office during the times for the 2024 DVCA Trustee election.
2. Present a valid photo ID for verification of voting eligibility.
3. After verification, receive an official 2024 DVCA Trustee ballot and envelope.
4. Cast a single vote for up to three positions. (No multiple votes for a single candidate. Total of votes for identified candidates plus write-ins not to exceed 3.)
5. Place the completed ballot in the envelope.
6. Seal the envelope and write the applicable lot address across the seal (Ballots in envelopes without a written address will not be counted.)
7. Place the sealed envelope with written address in the ballot box.
